A popular Crosby charity shop will be holding a Christmas Fair as they close their doors for the last time in the Village.
Freshfields Animal Rescue is preparing to shut up shop at its Liverpool Road store and they want to use the Christmas Fair to say 'thank you' to the people of Crosby for their support.
The Christmas Fair will include "mince pies, cups of and lots of festive spirit", as well as a brass band and bargains galore.
Store manager Richard Lee said: "We got a lot of support here in Crosby.
"There are lots of people who are going to miss us here and we are going to miss them. There are a lot of people here who call in to see us regularly and lots of them are upset that we are moving.
"This Christmas Fair is an event that we are holding to say thank you to the people of Crosby who have supported us so well since we have been here.
"So come in and join us for our Christmas Fair and grab a bargain at the same time."
Sefton Central MP Bill Esterson be attending the event to give a send off speech to the store.
Bill said: "While it is really sad that Freshfields Animal Rescue is closing its store here in Crosby, I am delighted to be able to accept their invite to attend the Christmas Fair and give a farewell speech.
"This is a charity that fully support and it is where I even picked up one of the latest additions to my family. Jackson my cat was from the rescue centre in Ince Blundell.
"So I am looking forward to joining the team and their supporters here in Crosby for the festive fun and I look forward to continuing to work with the charity in the future."
Freshfields Animal Rescue Christmas Fair will be held on Saturday, December 5 from 12noon-3pm at the charity's shop at 113 Liverpool Road, Crosby, L23 5TD.
