Sefton Central Labour MP Bill Esterson has come across some familiar names over the past five years serving as the area's MP. But none more so than this week when he gave a warm welcome to eight-month-old Summer and mum Jasmine Jimbris to his office.
The mother and daughter from Maghull called in to thank the MP for his help sorting a passport problem ahead of their scheduled trip to Sweden.
Bill was delighted he could help the mum and daughter who share not one name, but two, with his own daughter - Summer Jasmine Esterson.
Mum Jasmine told Bill: "I wanted to personally thank you for the help you gave me cutting through the red tape to get my daughter's passport in time for travelling to Sweden. So thank you for all your help and for being a caring person."
The MP said it was always a pleasure to be able to help people.
Bill said: "As MP, it is my role to help people in any way I can. Cases can be very difficult at times, but it is always good to get a result for constituents who turn to me for help.
"It is also a nice coincidence that both mum and daughter share my daughter's names, both of which are fairly uncommon but definitely distinguished.
"I am really pleased that I was able to help Summer and Jasmine to get a passport before their planned trip. And is was a pleasure to welcome them both to my office."
