Sefton Central Labour MP Bill Esterson found out for himself that you can bank on getting your hands on a tasty coffee and home-baked cake at Barclays' annual Macmillan Coffee Morning in Crosby.
Bill joined customers and staff for a coffee and a piece of cake at the Crosby Village branch.
The Crosby branch has been holding Macmillan Coffee Mornings for more than 10 years. All money raised on the day is doubled by the bank.
Branch manager Jan Ryan said: "The Crosby branch of Barclays has been supporting Macmillan Coffee Morning for more than 10 years. Barclays kindly doubles the amount we raise and that money goes to Macmillan to continue the fantastic work the charity does.
"Lots of our customers came in and joined us to make our Macmillan Coffee Morning a success.
"Macmillan Cancer Care is a great cause for us to support. That's why we have made the Macmillan Coffee Morning an annual event and why our customers are so keen to support us.
"We are part of this community and we take an active role within that community. That includes supporting Macmillan."
Bill said he was delighted to join the customers at Barclays Crosby at the event.
Bill said: "Macmillan is a charity which is very close to many people's hearts. Barclays in Crosby does a great job supporting them.
