Maghull Town Council is recruiting a new town clerk to carry through the councillors' vision for the future of the town.
The town clerk heads the town hall team and carries through the planned objectives as laid out by the town councillors in their town plan.
Maghull Town Council leader, Cllr Patrick McKinley said the councillors were looking for someone with dynamism and the energy to help them take the town council forward.
Cllr McKinley said: "The people of Maghull deserve the best service they can get and in these current times of austerity it is essential that the Council and its entire staff are seen as a leading body within the community, where we seek out ways to bring new revenues into the council and every penny possible is invested directly into activity that adds value to the community.
"With an ambitious agenda of ensuring Maghull is a place of choice to live and work, we are looking for a dynamic person to partner the members and other local organisations to take us to new levels of governance, community leadership and service delivery.
"With a new two year strategic plan and proposals to realign our services and role in the community, these are exciting times. It is our intention to secure Quality Council status, gain a reputation as an Enterprising Council and embark on an aspiring social enterprise programme. We have a stimulating vision and an ambitious agenda against the backdrop of reducing revenues so your business acumen, collaborative skills and energy will be put to great use here."
Cllr McKinley said it was crucial that the right person gets the job.
