Sefton Central Labour MP Bill Esterson and Maghull Labour Action Team are set to meet with Westherspoons to discuss residents' concerns about their Everest Pub plans.
Bill, together with Cllr Patrick McKinley and Maghull Labour Action Team leaders Lynn Gatherer and Steve Kermode are meeting with representatives of the company to pass on the concerns of locals.
Bill and the Labour Action Team have been in contact with residents and national chain Wetherspoons since the company took over the pub on Eastway.
Bill said: "Maghull Labour Action Team and I have been contacted by a number of residents with some very valid concerns about Wetherspoons' plans for the Everest.
"Some of the main concerns are the issues of parking, noise, opening hours and large numbers of people getting drunk and going to and from the pub.
"These are all concerns which my Labour colleagues and I will be ensuring are taken into account as part of Wetherspoons' plans. And that is why we are meeting with the company.
"This pub needs to be to the benefit of the community and not to its detriment."
Labour's Lynn Gatherer said she had already had conversations with lots of residents concerning the pub.
Lynn said: "Obviously, the Everest is one of the main issues on the doorstep, particularly in the area immediately surrounding the pub.
"I live very close the site myself, so I know only too well the main issues of concern.
"From the start, Maghull Labour Action Team has ensured that residents have a say and that Wetherspoons have been made aware of the concerns.
"We want to see the company to seriously tackle the issues which we have raised with them as part of their plans."
