Labour Councillors on Maghull Town Council are planning to bring an event for all seasons next year.

The Labour Councillors are devising a calendar of events which will ensure that the town's people can enjoy right the way through the year.

Maghull's events calendar forms part of the town council's strategic plan.

Maghull Town Council's Labour leader, Cllr Caroline Esterson, said: "The idea behind the Maghull Town Council events calendar is to ensure there are community events right the way through the year.

"We want young and old from throughout Maghull to come along and enjoy the events which we are planning. These will be events for all four seasons.

"We already run, and are committed to continuing a series of community event. These include the annual firework display and carol concert in the park.

"We will work next year with the organising committee to support the Frank Hornby Festival and aim to continue an annual summer festival for all residents. We will also arrange a further festival in the spring and aim to bring the magic of Christmas to Maghull for children."

Cllr Esterson said she hoped the calendar would give young and old in Maghull activities to look forward to through the year.

Cllr Esterson said: "We already have fantastic community spirit here in Maghull. My Labour colleagues on Maghull Town Council and I want to build on that and give people throughout Maghull the chance to come together throughout the year.

"These events will give us the chance to do just that.

"If people have ideas for events which they would like to set up, then please contact us at Maghull Town Hall and let us know your ideas."
