Labour-run Maghull Town Council has released its summary report of ideas generated from its Community Group Forum event.
More than 80 people from community groups throughout Maghull attended the forum last month.
The event was the brainchild of Labour Councillor Maurice Byrne. He devised the idea in an effort to encourage people to come up with new community group ideas and also to help existing groups expand.
Some of the ideas featured in the summary report include the creation of a Maghull's Got Talent contest.
Cllr Byrne said: "We had some great ideas generated from the community forum event.
"Ideas such as creating a Maghull's Got Talent contest, working with our local schools so community groups can use their facilities, setting up a community website to promote local groups, and much more.
"These are great ideas which we are now looking at working on and implementing.
"Maghull Town Council's community committee will now go through the forum report and look at ways we can progress the ideas which were generated from the forum."
Cllr Byrne said the purpose of the council was to make improvements to Maghull for the people who live, work and visit the town.
Cllr Byrne said: "I'd like to thank everyone who came along and contributed to the community forum.
"The ideas which have been generated will act as an action plan for the Community Committee and we will be working to push the ideas forward.
"The community forum is just one way in which my Labour colleagues and I are are putting the community back at the heart of Maghull Town Council and this is just the beginning of what we have planned."
