A Hudson Primary School pupil has designs on Christmas after winning a competition launched by Labour MP Bill Esterson.
Year 6 pupil Alexandra Kritikos beat more than 1,000 other primary and secondary school children to be the winner of the MP's Christmas card competition.
MP Bill Esterson said he was extremely impressed by all of the high quality entries, but Alexandra's snowman design stood out.
Bill said: "I had thousands of really amazing designs from young people throughout Sefton Central, which made judging the winners really very difficult.
"But after much deliberation, it was decided that Alexandra's excellent snowman design would be the Sefton East winner.
"People throughout East Sefton will be receiving this fantastic design as part of my Christmas cards and it will also be the card that I send on to my Parliamentary colleagues, including Labour leader Ed Miliband."
As well as having the privilege of having her design on the front of Bill's cards, Alexandra was presented with a goody bag during a special assembly at the Maghull school.
Bill said: "It was really lovely to go into Hudson and to see all the children, and to surprise Alexandra with the news that she had won.
"I presented all of the children who entered the competition with a certificate and Alexandra received a goody bag which had been kindly donated by Tesco.
"I'd like to thank all of the schools that took part, all the pupils that took part, Hudson headteacher Mrs Charlotte Allen and Tesco for the prizes.
"I really couldn't have asked for a better design for the Christmas cards.
"It just highlights how talented our young people are in Sefton."
