Halloween treat for Mayor of Maghull at Maghull Wind Orchestra c

Mayor of Maghull Cllr Steve Kermode is presented with the cheque from the money raised at the Maghull Wind Orchestra Halloween Concert by Faye Kay.

 

Mayor and Mayoress of Maghull Labour's Cllrs Steve and Gwen Kermode got a treat when they went along to Maghull Wind Orchestra's Halloween Court.

The Mayor and Mayoress were invited to the spooky concert at Maghull Town Hall.

Cllr Steve Kermode thanked the musicians for a "fabulously spooky night".

Cllr Kermode said: "Maghull Wind Orchestra is a superb orchestra. Gwen and I have seen them on a number of occasions and they never fail to astound me with how good they are.

"They have over 100 members aged from 10 to over 80, and they are a really good fun community group that deserves our support.

"The concert really was fantastic. Everyone who attended enjoyed the night. It really was a Halloween treat for us all."


Money raised from the concert was donated t the Mayor of Maghull's charity which is donated to local causes each year.

Cllr Kermode said: "The Maghull Wind Orchestra presented £150 to the Mayor of Maghull's charity on the night, which is fantastic.

"I'd like to thank all the musicians who performed, the orchestra organisers and everyone who came along on the night. The funds raised will be going to good local causes.

"Gwen and I are already looking forward to the next Maghull Wind Orchestra concert."
